Ken Lockwood Gorge

directions:I-78 to exit 17[NJ31} and continue north on NJ31 into High
Bridge. Turn right and follow County 513 as it zigs and zags through the
village and past Voorhees State Park. After milepost 20, turn right on
County 512[heading into Califon]. After crossing the bridge, make an
immediate right turn onto River Rd. This road turns to dirt and then the
scenic gorge stretch begins.

To find the letterbox you may hike, bike or drive-by. Along the 3 mile
dirt road are many pull offs. This is fly-fishing at its best. But to
reel in your trophy: Go under the trestle, but before the bridge look
for the monument dedicated to Ken Lockwood. Behind a tree to the left
and under some rocks is your catch-of-the-day.
